Potential of the TV Addition Industry Is Growing

Some of the specially dressed workers are fixing the frame or structure of the television, and some are busy connecting the main screen with that structure. In addition, someone checks the main screen's quality, sound, and color quality.

Such a scene can be seen in the TV assembly factory of LED (light-emitting diode) technology of Golden Star Industries located in the BSCIC industrial town of Dhamrai. 

Since March this year, large-scale complete LED TV installation work has started in this factory.

Last Saturday, the Golden Star authorities organized a press visit to show the whole process of LED TV installation. The company's managing director MP Ali Azgar and other senior officials showed the journalists around the factory.

To prevent dust and dirt from entering, everyone has to wear unique clothes before entering the main assembly room of the factory. 

There, 35 workers assembled different parts of the android smart TV according to their specific responsibilities. It is learned that each of these workers is a diploma engineer and is specially trained in this field.

After reviewing each step of the addition, the company's officials informed the details of the expansion of the television. They said that the humidity of the adjoining room is always kept at a specific temperature to maintain the quality right. In addition, there are special arrangements in each addition process so that dust does not come in any way. 

It was further learned that a maximum of 125 televisions are connected to the factory in eight hours every day through a production line.

Full-fledged TVs are being assembled by importing CKD components from a factory in China. In addition to creating new jobs, they said the country's economy is adding value.

According to industry insiders, Bangladesh currently sells 13 to 14 lakh televisions a year. LED TVs occupy about 40 percent of the market. And the rest is occupied by televisions made with ordinary CRT (cathode ray tube) technology. 

Within the following year, the market share of LED televisions may increase to 70 to 80 percent. Its top officials said that Golden Star is working intending to capture a part of this potential market.

Ali Asghar, MD of the company, told reporters, "We are offering customers 40-inch LED televisions with a three-year panel warranty for Rs 30,000." We have come to the market with the aim that ordinary people can buy this TV at an affordable price.
