Bangalore has always been a few years ahead of the Indian metropolitan cities. This started back in the 1980s when Texas Instruments decided to set up its facilities in the city. After that, you could say that things just got set in motion and many other companies decided to invest here. Bangalore was long favored for its consistent and easy weather. It is, after all, located atop the Mysore Plateau.
As it became the IT hub of the country, families, and professionals began moving in from all over the country to establish residence for a long term. This, in return, aincreased the demand for all sorts of facilities in the country. Restaurants, hotels, companies, start-ups, schools, hospitals and all sorts of services and facilities began popping up making the city more efficient than before. In fact, the population of Bangalore now is 3 times that it was in the 1980s, currently being around 13 million inhabitants.
