Orthopedic surgery is a specialized branch in medical field wherein orthopedic surgeons specialize in musculoskeletal conditions. This system consists of muscles, bones, joints, ligaments, nerves, etc. and surgeons perform corrections in deformities related to this. Orthopedic doctors are also called orthopedists and the difference between doctors and surgeons is that surgeons perform surgery as well. Braces, splints, casts are some of the provisions of orthopedic doctors and they help in proper treatment and diagnosis of the issue. Whatever be the case, it’s important to find the root cause of the underlying issue if there is a bone breakage, trauma injury, deformity fracture, etc. and take the corrective action accordingly.

Various types of surgeries performed:

  • Joint replacement surgery: a damaged joint is replaced by the artificial one, partially or totally.
