- If in Gangtok: you can wake up and have a filling. Breakfast and head to local sightseeing and monasteries. After you return from there, you can head straight to Pelling.
- When in Pelling: you will witness the beauty of mountains and the how amazing an artist the creator of the universe can be. The place is a small village in the foothills that is a junction point to a lot of different trekking destinations. Also, this place is culturally very different as it has a mixture of Tibet, Bhutan and Nepal.
Well, these are the two major routes that you can take and plan the trip to Sikkim, where you will visit places like Lachen and Lachung. But one thing that stays constant in all of these places is the warmth with which the local people and the monks shall greet you. They will tell you stories about their lives, local foods and many more. Also, the markets have some of the most pocket-friendly products to shop for. If you wish to take a token of the place back home, you can do that grom markets of either Darjeeling or Gangtok. The monasteries are not just places of spirituality but the architecture is one of the most beautiful artworks that you will find.
